Eat foods that will soften your stool to help lessen the piles problem. Being constipated and putting pressure on the rectum can cause piles in the first place. After you have them, this pressure can make them worse, larger, or even tear. A combination of a banana or two with water would be a good starting point to help start softening the stool. If nothing else, drink more water.
